Frequently Asked Questions

What is the World of 2201?

The World of 2201 is the family of channels run by Anatole of Anatole2201. Currently Anatole2201| Extras, Anatole1022, and 2201 Productions are the only channels in the family, each catering to one of Anatole's interests.

Why do you review hotels?

I review hotels for a few reasons. Firstly a video review and tour of a hotel can help guests decide on their hotel if they need one. Text reviews can certainly inform people, but many guests also like a video of a guest's firsthand experience of the hotel. My reviews help guests choose; a video can say much more than a text review. My reviews also allow guests who may already have a reservation or even current guests to know the layout of the hotel better or to help them find something they need. Ultimately, video reviews can be a valuable asset to many hotels, and I work to provide such assets to hotels.

What do you do if a guest is caught on video?

At Anatole2201, guest privacy is taken very seriously, and ensuring nobody is on camera is a priority. Tours are always filmed at a time when only a few people are about, and if anyone does get in the frame, I make sure to blur them out. Upon request, I will also blur staff members or anyone else asking to be blurred out. I will also blur anything that could be used to identify or track someone, i.e., name tags, badges, license plates, IDs, etc.

What do I do if I am a manager and do not want my property reviewed?

No need to worry. Please fill out my contact form, select the "I need to send a message" box, and let me know your name, property's name, address, and proof of working to ensure the report is not false. If I ever go to your property, it will only be reviewed if otherwise asked.

Can I ask to have my property reviewed and toured?

Absolutely! While I cannot guarantee anything, I would be more than happy to do a tour of any property if I can make it happen. However, please note that my reviews are unbiased, and I do not take payment to change my thinking for any reason. However, reducing rates and providing upgrades is acceptable and is not counted as bias. If interested, please get in touch with me and send me a contact form using the "I need to send you a message" option. Please send your name, property's name, address, a link to your current website and any other sites worth seeing, and proof of employment.

What cities and type of hotels do you review?

I review all hotels, from mid-range to luxury classes, all over Texas and beyond. I have stayed with most chain and independent brands and have experience in touring these places to help guests make an informed choice. My current list of cities is: Dallas, Plano, Allen, Coppel, Frisco, Richardson, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Austin, Galveston, Texas, and Washington DC, but the list constantly grows!

Do you take payment to make reviews?

This is a tricky question to answer. Suppose a hotel is inclined to provide a free or discounted stay, upgraded rooms for review, or pay for my services. In that case, this is accepted, but I have a strict policy. Suppose there were any rate modifications, upgrades for review purposes, or payments given. In that case, I ensure this is clearly marked in the video and description. I, however, do not take charge to alter my overall review positively or negatively, nor will I accept payment from another competing hotel to change a review of another property in any way.
